Sweetgrass Braids: Sweetgrass braids are mother earth’s hair that is pulled and braided. Sweetgrass path is sacred to the Plains Indians. Sweetgrass is an offering in prayer to Creator, you give out sweetness and sweetness comes back to you; thank you Creator for sending me all my ancestors, protectors and guides, and all the light beings. Burning the braids creates a vibration of goodness; offering of sweetness so sweetness comes back to you. The hair of mother earth is a medicine that gives you strength and brings you kindness. If you were to pick ONE medicine to take with you it would be the braided hair of mother earth for went lite you have smoke and it is also an offering in prayer.
